I really have nothing to say today. I'm
wide awake. Being off my synthroid is realllyyy dragging me down. I think my body is realizing it hasn't had it for a few weeks and is slowly shutting down. I wake up, drink coffee, go to work, drink more coffee, nod off on my lunch break, barely make it through the day, then come home, eat dinner, and pass out for a good 2 hours. (Lots of commas there). Next day - same steps. Its getting old.
Thank God I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday. Hopefully shes ok with me not having insurance at the moment because I need my pills.
On to other things. My brothers and
Joanna's wedding is slowly creeping up. I need to start a "Get to Cape" savings account. Funds are tight, but I've been making small adjustments to help us save money. I started asking friends and looking online a while ago for tips on saving money. Some have come in handy and some I haven't even tried yet. I used to go grocery shopping each week and spend atleast $120. Considering that its just Dan and me here, I realized that was way too much to be spending. So if we already have dinner meals here (which we normally do), I'll just buy him stuff to take to work for his lunch. We're slowly trying to break our habit of going out to eat and ordering in. For just the 2 of us, it seems the simpler quicker way. But it can really add up. I've started shopping at different places to get the best deal instead of doing all my shopping at one store. It's time consuming but worth it.
As I'm doing all this, a part of me feels like 25 is too young to be worrying about this stuff. Then I step back into reality. Stuff isn't as cheap as it used to be, and people are making less and less money. Almost all of my friends have children and they seem to be making it by so I guess we're not too bad. And they had a LOT of ideas on saving money as well.
