5-Day Forecast

So

For anyone planning on communication with me this week should be aware of the following:

Thanks, and have a great week!

Book Review

Sarah Young's year long devotional is, so far, a good read! I am not really a devotional type of person, but I do realize that a lot of people use them. I have been reading this for a few months now. There were a few days that I would forget to read the devotional, but would just read it the next time I picked it up.

In Jesus Calling, the authors way of going about each day, is that it is written FROM Jesus to the reader. So Jesus is "calling" each day to give you a little messege. These are messeges that Sarah had received from her own quiet time. At the end of each messege, is a Bible verse that accompanies todays call. Really only takes about 5 minutes out of your day.

My first impression when I received the book was how beautiful the book actually was. I can honestly say that I was a little hesitant to read it, due to the fact that I don't have a close walk with God. But once I finally started going - it was something to look forward to. I feel like for someone like me, or someone just starting out would definitely benefit from having a devotional like this one.

I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review.

The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal

I am super excited. I drove 3 hours on Saturday to meet the man that can ALWAYS make me cry.

No. Matter. What.

I can read one of his books and get completely sucked into the story line.
I can watch one of his movies and cry my eyes out.

I"m sure you've already figured it out.

NICHOLAS SPARKS!!

I really enjoy this man's work. Everyone at the bookstore makes fun of me for reading him. They say its the same story all the time, but with different characters, and always in North Carolina.

To them I say, in the classiest way possible, suck it.

His stories are amazing! And while they are a romance story at the core, there's so much that he puts into his characters, that no two people are alike. He enjoys writing about North Carolina because that's where he's from, that's home. And his characters, and parts of his stories, are based off of people that he knows in real life. The Notebook is pretty much the story of his mother and father in laws relationship. A Walk To Remember is based on his sisters own fight with cancer and how she found love.

There's so much more I can say about Nicholas Sparks, and his work. But then I'd be rambling on forever.

BUT... to end - here's a quote from one of his books.

"I love you. I am who I am because of you. You are every reason, every hope, and every dream I've ever had, and no matter what happens to us in the future, everyday we are together is the greatest day of my life. I will always be yours. "

I've Realized

That I absolutely suck at life sometimes

Why is it that I have the inability to finish anything that I start?

It seems like over the years this whole "not finishing anything" lifestyle is becoming more and more of a problem.

I procrastinate.

I'm lazy.

I just don't care.

Thats the main one. Sometimes I just don't care.

Why even bother?

I'll finish school when I get the chance - because around here it doesn't matter. Degree or no degree, there's still no jobs.

I'll do the laundry tomorrow, it'll still be there and I have something to wear today.

I need to learn to just get off my ass and do work. I could probably make a list of atleast 40 things on it that either need done, or should be done. I need to get on the freaking balllllll already.

That's all.

Oy with the Poodles Already!

Where have I been the last month? I thought I'd posted, but apparently I haven't!
Sorry for the 1 of you who actually read this haha.

Not much has been going on.

                                                              Work.

Reading.

                                                                Sleeping.

Online-ing?

Thats about all.

I went on a job interview today - I REALLY hope I get it. We could use a little extra cash around here.

Also, with the exception of a few days - I've got this diet thing down. I'm not eating nearly as much as I was before (again, with the exception of today haha).

I'm learning how to run like a normal person. Sounds odd, I know. You know how you walk and you don't really bend your legs or lift them too far off the ground? Thats how I run.  I don't know why. My ankle usually gives out on me and stops me from running. And anytime I have to do a "fast activity" like running, or jogging, or running up the steps, I tend to hold my breath. I don't really know why or when that started either.

So yesterday I decided I was going to go to the track instead of the gym and teach myself how to run. I warmed up with a little walk - it went well, thanks. And then held my freaking breath for the start of my run. Then I had a nice little chat with myself inside my brain (really, Tiffani? Nice choice of words). That was pretty much me yelling at myself for holding my breath and to get over it and run.

And run I did.

I ran in small intervals. Breathed the whole time. Lifted  & bent my legs. Like a normal person (almost) runs! My ankle didn't give out til right at the end either. Yay me :)

And other than that - nothing has been going on.

I Can't Write a Haiku

I was originally going to write a Haiku about losing weight. I found out that I am unable to write a Haiku. So, instead, here are a few thoughts.

There are roughly 85 days until I am on Cape Cod.
(Give or take a few)

There are roughly 85 days for me to get into shape for Cape Cod.
(Unless you count round as a shape)

As of right now, I have zero motivation to lose 5-10 lbs in 85 days.
(It's really not even that much)

I enjoy food.
(A Lot)

And by a lot, I mean
(A Lot)

Food.

Relationships Are Hard

Relationships are hard. This is something that I seem to be learning more and more everyday. People change, and so must a relationship. What worked 3 years ago might not fly now. Dan and I have been slowly getting into a little relationship rut. We've been holding things back, and not communicating much. It seemed to be working for a while - until today.

We had a HUGE blowup.

I know that all couples have arguments. But this one was so bad that even the cats hid! Yikes. I won't air all the details out on here, because I personally don't feel like the Internet is a place for personal issues. However, we both agreed that its gotten so bad around here that we both feel like we're just living together and not in a relationship. That's not what either of us want to feel after almost 7 years of loving each other. So, we decided that tomorrow we "start over". We are going to work hard, and continue working hard, so that things can be how we want them to be. We also have a lot of work to do on ourselves for this to work. We both have a positive outlook on this - so that's a plus already :)

On a side note: What is it about country music that your automatically drawn to it when things aren't going exactly how you want them to be? It's all I've been listening to for the past 2 hours.
